* elliot’s beach and barista

A common known beach of Chennai is Marina Beach which is located quite near to the city of the town. A little bit more to the south and closer to Tidel Park and the place where I lived is Elliot’s Beach. Although a lot of people visit the beach during the weekends, it is not that crowded compared to Marina Beach.
Just in opposite Elliot’s Beach is a restaurant called Barista, where you can get coffee and all kinds of sweets made out of chocolate. I used to go there very often with a friend and everytime we had some Brownies. It was so good that I even tried to copy the recipe, but my try failed and it was just a dark and dry chocolate cake, which spent hours in the oven. It was tasty, but not the same. I mean, there was no chance to get exact the same taste, because I did not get all the proper ingredients and I had to fall back to alternatives.
One day we went to Barista and all Brownies were sold out. So we had to think about an alternative and we have chosen “Chocolate Excess”. Basically it was a cake coming with a lot of melted chocolate. It had so much of it and it burned in the throat after a while. Check the pictures…
