In the description on how the Linux distribution Debian runs on the bullman laptop, I wrote that in the x-server none of the keyboard LEDs is working. In the console this behavior never showed up. The problem is solved and it was a bug in xorg itself. So updating to at least version 7.3+6 will get the LEDs back to work normally.
